Help Make a Difference

BC Hospice Palliative Care Association is a registered charity that relies on donations to:

  • promote responsive, quality hospice palliative care in BC;
  • educate British Columbians on personal advance care planning, and
  • advocate for equitable access to responsive, quality hospice palliative care.

Ways to Give

Donations in Memory – If you let us know the name of a friend, family member or colleague who has passed away and the name and address of their next-of-kin, we will send the family a card acknowledging your gift.

Donations in Honour – Celebrate someone special with a donation made in their honour. We will send them a card advising them of your thoughtful gift.

Give Stocks to the BC Hospice Palliative Care Association and Reduce Your Taxes – By donating stocks to the association instead of cash, you can support our cause while reducing your capital gains taxes. Contact us our your financial advisor for details.

Matching Gift Programs – Does your company have a matching gift program?  They might be willing to double your support of the Association.

Monthly Giving – Making a monthly gift through your credit card or your bank account is a great way to continuously support BC Hospice Palliative Care Association. Please call us at 604-267-7024 or 1-877-410-6297 to arrange your monthly gift.

United Way – If you are involved in a United Way campaign through your workplace, you may designate all or part of your gift to BC Hospice Palliative Care Association on your pledge card.

Leave a Legacy – Please contact, or ask your financial or legal professional to contact us at office@bchpca.org or 604-267-7024 to consider BC Hospice Palliative Care Association in your estate planning.

Death is a part of all our lives. Whether we like it or not, it is bound to happen. Instead of avoiding thinking about it, it is better to understand its meaning. We all have the same body, the same human flesh, and therefore we will all die. There is a big difference, of course, between natural death and accidental death, but basically death will come sooner or later. If from the beginning your attitude is ‘Yes, death is part of our lives,’ then it may be easier to face.
