Additionally, we host consultations and meetings with interest holders, including the government, and partners to ensure positive and impactful outcomes to the sector and the public. Our work includes the following;

Public Awareness and Health Care System Navigation:The staff and board of BCHPCA along with its members provide education, services, and guidance to the public on end-of-life supports, palliative care, grief and bereavement, and psychosocial support. Membership Support and Sector Development:Our efforts to facilitate the growth of the sector include providing the following support to ensure sustainability, expansion, and development. Hospice and palliative care should reflect this to attract more healthcare professionals in light of the aging population and the growing need for grief, bereavement, and community access to care. Educating, supporting, and advocating for hospice societies continuously allows policy makers and funders to be aware of trends and needs and make informed decisions regarding policies that will affect the community.
