Access all presentations and materials from our 2022 Hospice Education Day event that took place on Oct 27-28, 2022 in Vancouver Airport Marriott Hotel. This was a hybrid event which was sold out.
The Federation of Fraser Valley Regional Hospices, BCHPCA, and the Vancouver Island Federation of Hospices strove to provide a platform for education on all aspects inclusive of grief and bereavement care for professionals, students, policy makers and the public with workshops on bereavement care, traumatic loss, expressive therapies, pandemic grief, prolonged grief disorder and more.
Purpose:
-Provide a public platform for interdisciplinary and stakeholder education, inclusivity of grief and bereavement practices, and widening the knowledge of cultural care.
-This two-day education event focused on the complexities of grief as it relates to both staff and volunteers. The event included workshops, training and discussions, where best practices were examined.
-Act as a modality to educate care professionals, students, policymakers, and the public on the complexities of grief and bereavement, and inclusive care for those who need it most in our communities.
This package includes 11 presentations, materials, and resources for interdisciplinary teams, volunteers, policymakers and stakeholders to focus on education, idea sharing, and awareness regarding working within the complexities of Grief.
