Hospice Education Day

November 3rd – 4th, 2023
Parksville, BC

In the past years, the pandemic has certainly caused many challenges and disruptions in the hospice and palliative care societies. It is important to stay connected with our interdisciplinary and allied professionals and continue to seek out opportunities for education and professional development, such as the Hospice Education Conference.

The Hospice Education Conference is an event that brings together all who care about the development of hospice and palliative care societies, to explore the latest trends in hospice care. This conference is an opportunity for attendees to learn about community-supported dying, respectful and safe care for 2SLGBTQIA+ people, youth leadership in grief care, addressing inequalities in hospice palliative care and best practices in the field. It is a chance to connect with like-minded individuals and gain new insights into how to provide the best care possible for the residents and their families. Whether you are a hospice & palliative care practitioner (professional & volunteer), administrators and board members, allied professionals, policymakers, or the public, the Hospice Education Conference is an event you won’t want to miss. We have curated a program centred around the theme of “Promoting Wellness Through Collaboration.” It is our honour to have keynote speakers from Indigenous and Métis community leaders like Doreen Peter, Nancy James, Kelly Foxcroft-Poirier, and Rowena Veylan discuss a range of topics. With our inspiring keynote speakers, informative presentations and engaging sessions, this conference is sure to inspire and empower attendees to make a difference in the lives of those they serve.

So mark your calendars and join us for this exciting event!
