Palliative Care McGill CPD Day 2021

Want to receive up-to-date information on the most relevant topics related to end-of-life and palliative care? Join us for our online Continuing Professional Development Day on Friday, Nov. 19, 2021

Expert presenters from medicine, nursing, pharmacy, and psychology will address: Telemedicine,  Bereavement, Homecare, Palliative Care Protocols During COVID and After,  Pediatric Palliative Care, Frailty, End-Stage Parkinson’s Disease, Total Pain, Management of Wounds, Interaction of Delirium and Pain, Deprescribing, Immunotherapy Side Effects, and Alternative Treatments.

This premier educational event is open to all healthcare professionals (as well as students and residents). The Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Office from McGill University’s, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, has approved this activity for 7 CPD credits: RCPSC MOC Section 1; CFPC Mainpro+: Group Learning (QC Certification).

GRIEF, BEREAVEMENT & MENTAL HEALTH SUMMIT

October 2, 4, 6, 2021 – Virtual Event

The BC Hospice Palliative Care Association will be initiating conversations for change around grief and bereavement at its first ever virtual Grief, Bereavement & Mental Health Summit. The Summit will examine the metamorphosis of grief and bereavement as it has transformed with the advent of COVID and as we move into an environment of integration during the recovery phase.
 
Providing a public platform for interdisciplinary and stakeholder education, idea sharing, and awareness regarding grief, bereavement and mental health in light of COVID-19, the Summit will collaboratively analyze current gaps to better support the future mental health of British Columbians and Canadians.

Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD) Lunch & Learn Webinar Series: Conversations about MAiD

As part of our COVID 19 Membership Relief Program, the BCHPCA will be hosting a virtual fundraising expo with leading fundraising speakers on solutions designed to achieve your virtual (and non-virtual) fundraising goals.

This FREE virtual conference for members and donation fee for non-members blends both practical and thought leadership. You will leave this expo having engaged with fundraising peers, gaining an understanding of how to lead from where you stand, tactics to ensure new year giving meets your expectations, and improving your ability to secure larger gifts from your donors virtually and beyond.

We hope you can attend this upcoming café, happening April 29 – from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
