Facilitated by counsellor and published writer Tama Recker, this series is suitable both for those with no writing experience and for seasoned writers. Participants are guided to access creative thinking and mindfulness practices that support listening to inner thoughts, feelings, and their grief process in new ways.

As different pathways of listening open, the possibility of shifting heavy emotions, restrictive beliefs, and long-held patterns becomes more available. This gentle approach invites reflection and expression while honouring each person’s unique experience of grief.

Group members are asked to commit to attending all six sessions of the series and to notify the group leader in advance if they are unable to attend a session. Registration is limited to twelve participants to support a grounded, intimate space. To participate fully, you will need a computer, tablet, or phone equipped with a microphone and camera, and access to Zoom.

The BC Hospice Palliative Care Association (BCHPCA) recognizes the traditional land of the First Nations, Métis and Inuit peoples who have walked before us and minded the lands we now call home for time immemorial. Hospice Societies have been able to support, aid and care for many people on these same lands.

The BCHPCA Offices are located on the ancestral, traditional, and unceded lands of the Coast Salish Peoples, including the territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and TsleilWaututh Nations.
